Good Luck, nice to see that some body likes fishing for species other than carp.
I have nothing against carp fishing, like catching them myself, but when I hear some one describe a 61/2 lb tench as vermin it makes my blood boil.

That is because they are not true anglers Rog and never will be with attitudes like that.

Fair play chris to be honest it gets annoying that mid kent has the stigma of a carp only club when there are other specimen fish to be had, maybe its time to prove them wrong.

Try any of the first 3 swims on the right hand side as you look at the lake with the railway line behind you. There is hard gravel a little way out and then a softer bottom with some weed . There are some really big weed beds further out.
I have found the tench in close, can't recommend a bait as their taste seems to change by the day.

You should get some decent bream too. I've had a 7lb1oz, 6lb8oz,and 2x5lb12oz out of these swims in the last 2 weeks plus some smaller ones. If you're using worm and maggot you'll probably get some good perch too.
