As some of you are aware we have lost a few fish from the Stour this year. Please do not panic it is not unusual at this time of year. Some of these fish are 30+ years old and as they get older they get weaker, no different to any other animal. Because of the long hard dry winter and low water conditions it has been a really hard time for the fish with lots of parasites present. We have had the fish tested, we have carried out water quality tests and consulted with our fish biologist. We will be renewing the dam to raise water levels but there really is nothing more we can do but to keep a close eye on the situation, there is nothing to panic about so please do not start the rumour machine working saying it is SVC or KHV because there is NOTHING to indicate that. We will in the next two weeks be stocking more fish into the Stour lake to compensate the losses. I will keep you informed1 In the mean time just be vigilant and let us know if you see any fish in distress. Thank You.
