Mid Kent Fisheries - Carp Fishing

Freemasons
Located in Snodland

Stour Lake
This lake was created in the late 1960s and covers some 20 acres. MKF stocked the venue with Carp to just 9lb in March 1992.

Littleton South
Next to and joined to Littleton North in Staines, it also holds some very big Bream and Tench possibly of record size. There are two parking areas one being on the river bank and one on the far side.

Tonford Lake
Part of Milton Complex, Tonford Lake has been stocked with English Carp which have shown good growth rates.

Pan Lake
Part of Milton Complex, Pan Lake is perfect for the specialist Carp angler with good numbers of very large Carp.

Handle Lake
Part of Milton Complex, Handle Lake is an all round fishery with a large head of Tench and Bream.

Swan Lake
Part of Milton Complex, Set in an idylic location this lake is exceeding all our expectations with multiple captures of 20lb+ fish common place. Carp & Pike only in Swan Lake.

Staines
The lakes at Staines have a long Carp history and hold fish to 40lb plus, they also have double figure Bream and Tench and big Roach and Pike. The waters at present are approximately 40, 30, and 15 acres although some of the big lake will be back filled over the next ten years and will eventually be about 15 acres. Littleton North Littleton South Devils Lane Lake

Lydd
Dug in the 1990’s Mid Kent took over the fishing rights in 2005.

Devils Lane
A lovely mature gravel pit of about 15 acres. It has shallow areas, deep areas, snags and reed beds it really has great potential. Stocks are an unknown quantity; the lake suffered a fish kill a few years ago, at that stage it was very overstocked. Therefore it may have been nature’s way of getting the lake back to rights

Littleton North
Staines - Littleton North This lake is different as chalk and cheese to Littleton South although the two lakes are joined. This lake is slowly being backfilled therefore the colour of the water is very sandy. It again holds some very big specimen fish of all species. Many Carp to mid 30’s I am told but location is harder. We share this lake with the water ski club.

Loggies Lake
This lake was dug and stocked in 2004 and has already produced several fish over the 30lb mark which shows great potential for the future.

Conningbrook
Although this is a very hard water with approximately 30 known Carp present, the sheer size of these fish is exceptional. The anglers who fish this water on a regular basis know that the next run could be a new British record (*).

Mill Pool
This mature gravel pit, dug in the late 1960s, provides good all round fishing with multiple 20lb Carp captures possible and good Bream, Tench and Roach fishing.

Mainline Chilham
Chilham Lake was the first lake to be opened by MKF in September 1991.

Blue Lagoon
This 4 acre lake has been maturing since the early 1960s and offers the all round angler everything he or she needs. Huge Bream to 15lb together with Tench and Carp regularly feature in catches on this venue.

Larkfield
These lakes are part of carp and tench fishing history and have been established as fisheries for many decades.
