algae using ultrasonic waves.
Aquasonic
We have several sized ultrasonic devices, the largest of which
is the Aquasonic unit used in horticulture, aquaculture, potable
and wastewater applications and larger areas of water such
as ornamental and recreational lakes.
The transducer is capable of emitting ultrasonic
vibrations up to a range of 100 metres, covering a radius
of 180 degrees. It uses only 45W of power for continuous operation.
Besides killing algae, it also deals with all kinds of fungi
(Le. pythium is 100% killed by the ultrasonic waves).
Aquatank and Poolsonic
Smaller devices like the Aquatank and Poolsonic are designed
for use in medium sized water surfaces and in swimming pools,
fishponds and cooling tower basins.
Aquanet
The Aquanet is used in even smaller applications such as hobby
ponds, (large) aquariums. The power requirement of all these
smaller devices is under 30W.
All four devices need a domestic 220/ 240V
power supply.
Case Studies
There are several thousand devices already in use in Europe
since their introduction into the market place just over three
years ago.

in the UK; to control algae in a private lake stocked with
a variety of fish, a large ornamental lake in an office development
and recently for a large dock marina (an order from the Environment
Agency)
